Victor Hernandez Jr.

Mr. Victor Guerrero Hernandez, Jr. age 64, of Seguin, Texas passed away October 15, 2019.  He was born on September 9, 1955, in Seguin to Adela (Guerrero) and Victor Hernandez.  On December 8, 1973, he married Maria Yolanda Asencion at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Seguin.  Mr. Hernandez attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and served as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and was known for the BBQ cookouts he held every Sunday. He also enjoyed traveling the Texas coast.  Mr. Hernandez was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family and will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his parents, Victor and Adela Hernandez; wife, Maria Hernandez; children, Vonette Hernandez, Yvette Hernandez, Victor Hernandez, III and Pricilla Hernandez all of Seguin; brothers and sisters, Elsa Parades, Estella Hernandez, Roger Hernandez and Francisco Hernandez; grandchildren, Jimmy Ramirez III, James Edward Ramirez, Yelenda Jae Ramirez, Nicole Rae Vela, Joseph Vela Jr., Aliana Lynn Rangel, Armando Pena Jr., Aidyen Armani Pena, Jayden Thomas Villalon, Alias Romeo Pena, Ayven Arturo Pena, Jiovanni Joseph Villalon and Devin Garcia; great grandchildren, Gabriella Rose Ramirez and Ryden Jaxon  Rodriguez.

Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luis and Francesca Guerrero and Simon and Nicholasa Hernandez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Seguin with Father David Tonary officiating. A Rosary service will be held at the church prior to mass beginning at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.  Officiating as pallbearers will be Romeo Rodriguez, Jimmy Ramirez, III, James Edward Ramirez, Joseph Vela Jr., Michael Hernandez and George Paredes, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Hernandez, III and George Paredes, Jr.  Arrangements are under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home.
