Larry Bolen

Larry Bolen, 81, beloved Husband and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on May 15, 2020. He entered this world on January 12, 1939, in Claremoore, OK. He married Joyce Ann Bolen on June 29, 1976.

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter Briana Bolen and granddaughter Angel Bolen. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Bolen, son Billy Bolen (Jennifer) and daughter Laurie Cheatham (James), grandchildren Clayton, Courtney, Connor, Iva, and Cristina and great-grandchildren Saylor and Tanner.

Larry served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965 and then transferred to the United States Navy, serving until 1975. He also served as a Frio County Deputy sheriff and later relocated his family to Luling, Texas where he worked in the oilfield as a roustabout, crew leader and a pumper until retirement. He loved the outdoors, fishing or tinkering in his shed while listening to country music.

A visitation will be held at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin, TX on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, from 2-6pm. Funeral services will be held at the Luling Cowboy Bible Church on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at 10:00am. Burial to follow at the Luling City Cemetery.
