Irma Sanchez

Irma Judith Sanchez, 93, of Seguin passed away peacefully surrounded by her
family on August 27, 2020. Memorial service will take place this Friday, Sept. 4 at
10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church in Seguin and will be streamed via St.
James Catholic Church Facebook page.
Irma was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon on August 31, 1926 to Vicente and Amalia
Garza. After immigrating to the United States, Irma lived in Laredo where she met
and married the love of her life, Jose M. Sanchez, and raised her three children.
After a few years in San Antonio, Irma and Jose later retired in Seguin. Her
family was the most important thing in her life. Her strong faith in God served as
an example to everyone who knew her.
She traveled to many parts of the world with her beloved husband, Jose. Her last
trip adventures were spent on many cruise ships with her family. She enjoyed
crafting which included knitting, needlepoint, and quilting to name a few. She also
enjoyed cooking and baking. Her amazing pecan pie and scrumptious Hojarascas
were always in great demand during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Amalia; sisters Graciela
Vargas Garza, Josefina Garza Villaseñor, Guadalupe Garza Villaseñor; brothers
Ramiro Garza Villaseñor, Eduardo Garza Villaseñor, and Hector Garza Villaseñor.
She is survived by her sister Esperanza Garza; her loving husband of 60 years Jose
M. Sanchez; children Joe Sanchez Jr., Irma Sanchez, George and Felecia Sanchez;
grandchildren Kelly Webber, George Sanchez Jr. (Krystal Infante), Sarah Sanchez
Debusk (Colton Debusk), Ceslee Sanchez and great granddaughter Kasey Rivera.
