Grace Perez

Grace Perez went to be with the Lord on 23 April 2022 at the age of 88 years old.  She was born on April 16, 1934 in Zorn, Texas to Juan Martinez and Amada Ballez. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Eulogio Perez and infant son, Juan Perez; parents Juan Martinez and Amada Ballez; sister, Julia Guerrero; and brothers David Martinez and Juan Martinez, Jr.  She is survived by her sisters Maria Cardenas, Josie Saenz (Juan), Augustina Luna (Juan), brother Narciso Martinez (Gloria); numerous nieces and nephews; longtime friend, Raul Hernandez, and other family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Fidencio Guerrero, Jr., Larry Martinez, Julian Martinez, Juan Luna, Jr., Steve Pena, Rosemary Saenz.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Guadalupe Valley Nursing home and Elara Hospice for all their caregiving.

Embroidery was one of Grace’s favorite past times. She lovingly and meticulously created pieces for family members and friends.  She also spent many hours in her lovely garden planting flowers and vegetables; it was her gift.

A Mass for Grace will be held on April 27, 2022, at 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 409 West Krezdorn Street in Seguin, Texas. The Mass will be preceded by the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.
