Enrique "Rick" Amador

Enrique "Rick" Amador peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born to Benito Amador Sr. and Victoria (Martinez) Amador on September 24, 1954 in Seguin, Texas.

Rick was a loving dad and grandpa. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and he never missed a game! He was a faithful servant of God and loved sharing God's Word with others. His children and grandchildren were his entire life and he loved and cared deeply for them. Rick was also a fighter. He battled kidney and lung cancer for two long years but always stayed optimistic and faithful during the process. Sadly, he lost his fight to the cancer but passed away peacefully with his children and grandchildren by his bedside. He now has the best seat in the house to watch his football and to look over us! We love you daddy! You will forever be in our hearts!

Enrique is preceded in death by both of his parents, Benito and Victoria Amador; brother, Refugio Amador; maternal grandparents, Refugio and Angelita Martinez, and paternal grandparents, Pedro and Candelaria Amador.

Left to cherish and honor his memory are his children, Angela Ramirez (Rudy), Vanessa Amador, and Jonathan Amador; grandchildren, Bethany Galvan (Dylan), Ashley Ibarra, Jacob and Faith Ramirez, and Kendra Amador. He is further survived by his brothers, Benito Amador Jr. and David Amador Sr.; sisters, Mary Saenz (Jesse Sr.), Gloria Magallanes, Inez Lopez (Fidencio Jr.), Natalia Lopez (Edward), and numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Goetz Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.
