Cloma E. Dodd, age 100, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 in Seguin, Texas.
Cloma was born August, 4, 1920 in Emerson, Iowa. On September 8, 1940 she married Duane Dodd of Red Oak, Iowa. Their first four years of marriage were interrupted while Duane served in World War II from January 1942 until August 1945; the last 2-1/2 years as a German POW. During the war, Cloma became a licensed hair dresser and worked in Omaha, Nebraska until she and Duane were reunited and purchased a home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. In 1948, they moved to Texas where Duane took a job with Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America near Dumas, Texas, and Cloma became a homemaker. In 1965, they moved to Dumas, Texas, where Cloma made lifelong friends, and was active organizing and playing in many bridge clubs. After Duane passed away in 2008, Cloma moved to Seguin to be closer to her children.
Cloma is preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by one brother, two children, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.
