Arturo (Arthur) Castellanos

March 18, 1941 — July 22, 2022

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Arturo Castellanos left his earthly home to go to his eternal home on July 22, 2022 at the age of 81.  He was reunited with his heavenly family, his parents Manuel and Adela Robles Castellanos, his brother Oswald Castellanos and wife Cecilia, brothers Gilbert Castellanos and Ruben Castellanos and sister-in-law Sylvia D. Castellanos.

Arturo is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maria Guadalupe Castellanos; his son, Jason Arthur Castellanos; his daughter Tracy Kay Castellanos Ford (Dustin), his grandchildren, Joshua Jason Castellanos and Evan James Ford; his brothers Manuel (Ada) and Robert Castellanos; his sister Betty Vega (Eusebio); sisters-in-law Alicia Castellanos and Sylvia C. Castellanos and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arturo was born on March 18, 1941, attended Seguin High School and then left to join the Navy in 1959.  He was honorably discharged in 1965, the same year he married the love of his life.

He spent his working years in the retail construction and building supply industry.  Most of that time was at Acme Lumber Company.  In the 35 years he worked there, he made many friends; some became lifelong friends.  Due to his knowledge of the building industry, he became very adept at maintaining his own home.

After retirement in 2008, he volunteered to deliver Meals on Wheels for many years.  He was a long-time member of St. Joan of Arc Parish in Kirby and served as an usher for many years.

Arturo was proud of his family and loved spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed grilling at home and eating out at restaurants for family celebrations.  He never missed the Castellanos Family Reunions.  He also enjoyed dancing and traveling with his wife, the high point of which was a trip to the Holy Land.

As a loving, caring, gentle family man Arturo/Arthur/Art, Dad and Grandpa will be missed.  We will treasure the memories as he remains in our hearts forever.  He loved well and was well loved.
