Alfredo Molina

July 11, 1931 — August 5, 2021

Alfredo Molina passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the age of 90. He was born to Tomas Molina Sr. and Maria Morales Molina on July 11, 1931 in Seguin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Castro Molina, his parents, and ten siblings.

Alfredo is survived by his wife, of 39 years, Carrie Molina, children; Mary Hernandez (Abel), Diamantina Gonzales (Jose'), Carlos Molina and Rebecca Ramos (David); brother, Tomas Molina Jr. (Alicia); step-children, James Taylor, Yolanda Young (Batey), Diane Saldua, and Adolph Saldua; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

To his family and friends, he was affectionately known as "Pio," a nickname given to him by his parents. Alfredo worked as a City of Seguin employee for over 30 years, he was a loving Father, husband, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with this family, fishing, watching old black and white westerns and anything sports related. The Greenbay Packers, L.A. Dodgers and L.A. Lakers were his all-time favorite teams he followed. He was also a dedicated parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, where he out of habit, would arrive an hour early to mass to say his prayers and to sit in his favorite spot (left side, last pew, in the corner). We will reminisce of his love for fishing and hunting, but fishing always came first and yes, he could tell (embellish) a good story. In his younger years, his brothers or nephews would meet with him to play dominos. We had a TV to amuse us, but it was always more entertaining to watch them play their game and hear their "G" rated banter. He will be missed dearly, but lucky us, we have a lot of wonderful memories of him.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the caring staff of the Guadalupe Regional Hospice Services who assisted with making Alfredo comfortable in his final days.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Joey Gonzales, Dany Gonzales, Davey Ramos, Brian Ramos, Michael Molina, Marcus Molina, Hunter Hernandez, and Joel Reneau.
