Tomas Guerrero

Tomas Patrick Guerrero, of New Braunfels, TX, went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2022 at the age of 72.

Tomas is survived by his wife, Yolanda F. Guerrero and their dog Tabby; His sons, Ishmael Flores and wife Mona; Tom A. Guerrero and wife Monica; Patrick Flores Guerrero and wife Jessica. Also survived by many grandchildren, Andrew Flores and his wife Jessica; Anais Flores; Zacharias, Christian and Ethan Guerrero, Aubrey Pena, Elyse and Natalie Guerrero; and Patrick A. Guerrero Jr. He is also survived by his sister Julie and husband George Rocha; and brother Joe “Chachi” and wife Janie Guerrero. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio and Carmen Guerrero

Tomas was born on March 17,1950 in New Braunfels, Tx to Carmen and Eugenio Guerrero. He enlisted in the Army in September 1970. He was awarded an Honorable Discharge in July 1976 as a Specialist 5. While enlisted he earned diplomas in electronics. He was also in the National Guard for 10+ years. He then attended St. Philips College in San Antonio, TX and pursued an Electronics degree. He then went to work at Motorola (Continental) in Seguin, TX as an analyzer for 42 years until retirement. In which he resided in Seguin for the rest of his life.

Tomas was a devoted and loving father, husband and grandfather. His devotion to his family was amazing. He lit up the room with his big smile and happiness. His love for music and dancing was abundant, ranging from Tejano, conjunto, to disco and rock. He also loved the trips to the beach like Corpus Christi and Rockport. He loved working with his hands such as carpentry and anything mechanical. His modest character was unique and was there for anyone that would need him. He will forever be missed.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Goetz Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
