It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Popo, Father, Uncle, Husband & Friend to many, Thomas Cortez Sanchez, who left us Sunday, November 5th, 2023. Our hearts are heavy with grief, yet filled with profound love and gratitude for having shared the time we had with him. Thomas was born in Fentress, Texas on October 29th, 1948 to parents, Jesus and Maria Sanchez. He was a proud football player of Seguin High School and graduated in the class of 1968. He cherished his High School friends and the memories he shared with them.
Thomas was married at a young age to Sarah Sanchez. In 1976,Thomas moved his young family to Texas City in hopes of giving them a better life. There, he began his career as an electrician working in the chemical plants. Thomas was well known and respected in his community for his knowledge and expertise in his craft. To say he loved to work is an understatement. It was his passion. Thomas and Sarah spent their years together raising their family, traveling the world, going on cruises and spending quality time with their family and friends. Once retired, he spent many years on his beloved ranch in Seguin where he enjoyed tending to his cows and watching the Texas sunrises.
Thomas' children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was their teacher, mentor and hero. His lessons are ones they will always cherish and hold close to their hearts.
