Rudy Machado of Seguin, Texas passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 24,2016 at the age of 71.
Rudy was born in San Marcos, Texas on February 3, 1945 to Joe Sr. and Janie Machado. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Machado, and is survived by his mother, Janie Machado; daughter, Melissa Machado; granddaughter, Alexandra Garcia; brother, Joe Machado and sister-in-law Sylvia Machado; brother Robert Machado and sister-in-law Bea Machado; sister, Alice Urrutia and brother-in-law Johnny Urrutia; sister Sherry Martinez and brother-in-law Edward Martinez; and his nieces and nephews.

Rudy's passions in life were his beloved corvette, with a love of muscle cars dating back to his teens. Through the years, he developed a love for meticulously landscaping and maintaining his lawn, as well as a passion for fitness which were all a big part of his daily life, but his true calling was his love of music. As a young adult he dedicated himself to his passion for music when he joined Shorty and the Corvettes. He later went on to become the keyboard player for The Broken Hearts of Seguin, Texas. His innovative and energetic style helped propel him into The Tejano Music Hall of Fame in 1991, as a member of The Broken Hearts. He completed his music career as a member of the Augustine Ramirez Band, and traveled the southwest entertaining thousands.

Rudy's second career began in 1985, when he began working for Motorola, Inc. of Seguin, Texas. His ability for precision workmanship suited his position as a Robotic Specialist. He retired after 30 years of service.

A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Seguin, Texas on Wednesday, July 6th, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. With a Celebration of Rudy's Life to follow.
