Robert William “Bobby” Meadows born on May 23, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 2, 2024, in McQueeney, Texas. He leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Bobby was a man of many roles throughout his life. Proudly serving in the Army National Guard, working for Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Southwest and later retiring from Custom Food Group, he dedicated himself to his work and family with passion and commitment. However, it was his role within his family where Bobby truly shined. He had a huge heart, and always took care of others and will be a void that will be hard to fill for his loving family and friends.
Bobby has reunited in eternal peace with his parents Elmer P. and Clara (Lott) Meadows, John Lee Harrison and Richard E. Tuttle, Sr. (Brother In-Laws), Ina Faye Harrison (Sister In-Law) along with his numerous other relatives and friends. His passing is deeply mourned by his surviving family members: wife of 66 years Evon (Harrison) Meadows, daughter Sheryl Kinsey and husband Matt of Irving, TX, brothers John Elmer (Shirley) Meadows of Tyler, TX and Wayne (Jeanette) Meadows of San Antonio, TX and his numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Despite the sorrow of his loss, they find solace in the memories they shared with him and the love he bestowed upon them.
Bobby had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his practical jokes. He will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His infectious laughter and unwavering kindness touched the lives of many. As we say our goodbyes to Bobby, let us carry forward the lessons he imparted – to live generously, to love whole heartedly, and to always find humor in life's moments of darkness. In honoring his memory, may we strive to emulate his caring nature and make the world a brighter place in his honor.
Rest in peace. You will forever remain in our hearts as a loving beacon of light whose warmth will never dim.
As per the family wishes, a memorial honoring Bobby will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Bobby’s name.
