Richard Marlin Groesbeck, born on November 4, 1947, in Orange, Texas, bid farewell to the world on July 11, 2024, in New Braunfels, Texas. He leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Richard was a man of many roles throughout his life. Proudly serving in the United States Navy as a yeoman and later retiring from Rainbow Bakery, he dedicated himself to his work with passion and commitment. However, it was his role within his family where Richard truly shone. Described as someone who always spoiled his family, had a huge heart, and always took care of others, he leaves behind a void that will be hard to fill for his loving family and friends.

Richard has reunited in eternal peace with his parents Frank Groesbeck and Mae Groesbeck, Geneva and Leonard Etter, Martha and Jay Sisley, Florence and Jerry Chauncey, Tommy and Pert Groesbeck (Brother), Dorothy Odom (Sister), Eddie Hall and Ray Smith (Brother In-laws) along with his numerous other relatives and friends.

His passing is deeply mourned by his surviving family members: Robert Lee Groesbeck and wife Sharon of Crandell, TX, Betty Ann Smith of San Antonio, TX, Sally Hall of Poteet, TX, and Billy Groesbeck and wife Diane of Somerset, TX and his numerous nieces and nephews. Despite the sorrow of his loss, they find solace in the memories they shared with Richard and the love he bestowed upon them.

Richard Marlin Groesbeck's jovial spirit as the class clown and jokester will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His infectious laughter and unwavering kindness touched the lives of many.

As we say our goodbyes to Richard, let us carry forward the lessons he imparted – to live generously, love wholeheartedly, and always find humor in life's moments of darkness. In honoring his memory, may we strive to emulate his caring nature and make the world a brighter place in his honor.

Rest in peace, Richard Marlin Groesbeck. You will forever remain in our hearts as a loving son, brother, uncle, friend; a beacon of light whose warmth will never dim.
