Regina Carolyn Rehfeld passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in Seguin, Texas, at the age of 95. She was born on May 4, 1930, in Guadalupe County, Texas to Albert Emil Zipp and Emilie Fischer.
Throughout her life, Regina embodied a remarkable work ethic, seamlessly managing many different jobs while also dedicating her time to working on a farm. She began working at a young age at her parent’s store, Zipp’s Hardware & Supply Company, and then later in life, she worked at McQueeney Ice Plant where she made many friends.
Regina was a woman who took great care of everything and everyone around her, demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to her family, whom she cherished deeply. Her son Timothy, who maintained a close relationship with her, took excellent care of Regina for many years.
A woman of strong faith, Regina was a devoted member of McQueeney Baptist Church and participated in Sunday School and Bible study meetings. Her faith was a cornerstone in her life.
Regina, who was also known as “Omie” to her grandchildren, was always so giving of her time and skill. She enjoyed listening to George Strait, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, and loved going to garage sales. One of Regina’s proudest accomplishments was that she was the first woman in the area to win a tractor pull. She often shared the story of her achievement with her family.
Regina is survived by her sons, Timothy Rehfeld (Lydia Lundquist†) and Milton “Butch” (Linda) Rehfeld Jr., her daughter Vickie (Dennis) Brandenberger; brother, Albert (Carolyn) Zipp Jr.; grandchildren, Erika (Justin) Clack and their children, Aryana, Zoey, and Lars Clack, Adam (Cherie) Rehfeld, Jennifer Rehfeld, Kristin Martinez, Wesley Brandenberger, Clint (Bailey) Brandenberger. She is further survived by 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Regina was preceded in death by her husband, Milton H. Rehfeld, and her parents, Albert and Emilie Zipp.
Services honoring Regina will be held at Goetz Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
Regina Carolyn Rehfeld lived a life marked by hard work and faith. She will be remembered as a very special woman, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
