Ramona Elizabeth (Gauthier) Goodwin, born on October 12, 1958, in Munich, Germany, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Seguin, Texas surrounded by family.
She is preceded in death by her son, Shaun Goodwin, and her parents, Normand Joseph Gauthier and Elizabeth Elsa (Hergenrother) Gauthier.
Ramona is survived by her son, Richard E. Hill III and his children Taylor and Richard IV and grandchildren Victoria and Bella; son, Joshua S. Foster and his spouse Evelyn Foster and their children Ysela and Lina; son, Justin M. Foster and his spouse Maria Foster and their children Leon and Katarina; daughter, Brandy M. Gauthier and her children Joseph, Chloe and Payton and one grandchild Grady.
She is further survived by her siblings and her late son Shaun’s children Lilly, Kaydence and Ryelyn.
Ramona will be remembered by her family as a woman who faced life’s challenges with grace. She was the strongest woman ever. She was blunt, never shying away from speaking her mind and always “saying it how it was.” She was stubborn and a true spitfire.
Throughout her life, Ramona always had a strong work ethic. She devoted seven years to Hexcel Corporation, where her colleagues became like family to her.
Ramona held a special place in her heart for her beloved companion, Daisy May, her cherished fur baby. Her nurturing side was evident in her love for gardening, a hobby that brought her joy. Ramona also held deep pride in being a devoted fan of the Houston Texans.
Another significant chapter of her life was her search for family, a journey that led her to reconnect with five siblings that reside in California. This reconnection was a treasured moment for her.
Ramona Elizabeth Goodwin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Visitation honoring Ramona will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home, Seguin, Texas.
