October 22, 1944 — May 6, 2024

Seguin, Texas

Pablo Flores Sosa went to be with our Lord on May 6, 2024. He passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Pablo was born on October 22, 1944, to Pedro and Sofia (Flores) Sosa in Kingsbury, TX.

Pablo is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gloria Sosa; infant son, Pablo Sosa Jr.; parents, Pedro and Sofia Sosa; brother, Reynaldo “Rey” Sosa and sister, Alicia Bennett.

Left to cherish and honor his memory are his children, Mary Jane Sosa (Chuck), Anthony Sosa (Wife Amy), Velma Sosa, Diane Sosa (Bob), Adam Sosa (Wife Irma); grandchildren, Cheyenne Terry (Kyle), Natalie McWhorter, Hayley, Anthony, and Amyah Sosa, Celeste Schwarzlose, Alexa and Christian Sanchez, Dante Medina, Anthony Rodriguez, Andrea, Amber, and Joshua Lopez. He is further survived by his great-grandchildren Kameren, Kamilah, Vladimir, Lillith, and Raiden Terry, Aiyanna, Elijah, Evelynn, and Alaina Kincade, and Elizabeth and Jacob Rodriguez; his siblings, Ruben Sosa (Rita), Virginia Torres, Juan Sosa (Becky), Mary Ann Zamora, Pedro Sosa (Lupe), Yolanda Sosa (Toni), Sulema Sosa, Simon Sosa (Isabel), Lucinda Sosa, Oralia Salas (Jesse), Maria Davis (George), Adela Sosa (Rick), Adelaida Rodriguez (Jose), Martina Lopez, and Martin Sosa.

Pablo F. Sosa was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. He was commonly known by family and friends as "Boss Man" or "El Prieto." He was the oldest of 18 children and with a 3rd grade education, he worked very hard to provide for his family by working in the fields, then starting out as a laborer in the concrete industry and working up to retiring as a concrete superintendent. There are several bridges, sidewalks and other structures that show all his hard work all over the state of Texas. His hard work and dedication to his family allowed him to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. He was a man of faith and took pride in instilling those values into his children. He was a humble man that did not let the events of life get him down and was always worry free. He was well known and left an impact on those he met.  Spending quality time with friends and loved ones, often going on fishing trips, running to the store for a scratch ticket, cruising around the park counting turtles, relishing the thrills of high-octane drag racing, tractor pull events, or playing Spanish bingo, he embraced every moment with happiness and enjoyment. And among the laughter, family, and friendship, there was always a cold Miller High Life in hand, a true testament to his appreciation for the finer moments shared with those closest to him. His smile, infectious laughter, values, and legacy will live on forever. Our hearts are heavy; however, the love and memories will live on in everyone that he encountered. We can find peace knowing that he is comfortable and reunited with his wife Mary Sosa.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Pedro (Lalo) Sosa, Simon Sosa, Anthony Sosa, Dante Medina, Christian Sanchez, Victor Martinez, Guillermo Belmarez, and Matthew Fitzgerald. Honorary Pallbearers are Nicolas Medina and James Robledo.
