Oma Dee Heard

Our precious mom/nana Oma Dee Heard (91) of Seguin, TX, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Feb. 2, 2024.
She was born Aug. 23,1932, to Cliton F. And Hazel Mccormick.  She attended school in Littlefield, TX, where she met the love of her life, Dan J. Heard. They were married on April 17, 1949. 
Dan and Oma Dee moved to Dimmitt, TX. where they farmed for 30+ years. Oma Dee also ran "The Flower Patch" there. They were very involved in the First Baptist Church there.
Upon their retirement, they moved to Graham, TX and then to Seguin, TX.
Oma Dee is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Dan J. Heard; son Leslie E. Heard, her parents and three brothers, Leroy Leslie, Thomas Wesley and James Edward Mccormick. 
She is survived by a daughter Pam White and husband Walter, a son Danny Heard and wife Jill, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Goetz Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Seguin. Funeral Service will follow at McQueeney Baptist Church, McQueeney, TX at 1:30 p.m. with burial immediately following at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels.
