Norma Wilson

February 28, 1947 — July 26, 2017

Norma Faye Wilson was born on February 28, 1947 to Riley Walker and Arlene Wooten in Seguin, Texas.
As an only child, Norma grew up surrounded by a host of aunts and cousins. She attended Ball High School where she excelled academically and participated athletically by being an active majorette. It was there that she met the love of Lee Andrew Wilson. They married and were blessed with five children. They traveled the world together and eventually settled in Killeen, Texas. "Beautiful is the woman who knows people, places, and things don't define her. She is defined by her acts of loving kindness and generous heart." For years Norma fought a battle with her health, but she remained being a loving and kind person that everyone who met her knew her to be. She was the kind of woman who was more concerned about your comfort than her own. She always tried to see the good in everyone and everything. Norma was a loving and encouraging wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the glue that holds a family together. If love could have kept her here she would still be here, but God had other plans for her on July 26, 2017. After years of suffering, Norma was carried home to be with the Lord. Norma was preceded in death by her son Lee Andrew "Ponch" Wilson Jr.; and granddaughter Peyton Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Lee Andrew Wilson Sr.; daughters, Gatha Easterling, Blanche (Freddie) Harris, Chajuana (Oria) Biddle; son, Chad (Jamie) Smith; grandchildren, Tanica (Marrell) Blake, Desmond Easterling, Kamaya Easterling, Demetrius Easterling Sr., Janay (Ernest) Taylor, Latoria (William) Cook, Brittany Taylor, Oria Biddle V, Eric Smith, Zach Facunda, Taveion Grant, Kobe Smith, Jackson and Mason Smith; great grandchildren, Marrell Blake Jr., Dayshaun Blake, Jasmine Blake, Kavante Dorsey, Katravin Moore, Demetrius Easterling Jr., Kyrique Forrest, Nisiah Weaver, Demarrion Easterling, and Arilyn Rose Facunda; aunt Billie Fai Ball; and many other family and friends. Visitation will begin Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Goetz Funeral Home. A visitation will continue at 9:00 am Friday, August 4, 2017 followed by a Church Service at 10:00 am at Emanuel's Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Capote Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Goetz Funeral Home Seguin, Texas.
