November 9, 1923 — April 18, 2018

Minnie Burger (Dimples) Webster

Born November 9, 1923 in Gonzales Tx., Dimples moved to Sequin during 4th grade in 1933, and no matter where she lived or traveled to afterwards she always claimed Seguin as home. After graduating from Seguin High School class of 1940 she attended first Texas Lutheran College then The University of Texas before learning secretarial skills so that she could pitch in to help the War effort by taking a job at the San Antonio Cadet Center (now Lackland AFB). While working there she met her smiling Air Force cadet John W. Webster. They were married July 13, 1943 in Alliance Nebraska while Buddy was under going flight training. Together they had 3 sons, William Paul, Richard, and James. Dimples, an only child, found herself a member of the "Webster Clan" which at points exceeded 30 members who felt no hesitation in dropping in on each other for a weekend or two.

Dimples returned to Seguin in 1975 to aid her mother, and continued to happily live there while becoming an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder, Circle Chairman, and Trustee. She had wonderful positive thoughts about "being home again" and enjoyed uniting with past friends, traveling together, playing bridge, dominos, and Tripoli. Most important was the Wednesday afternoon "Board of Direction" meetings for "Attitude Adjustment". But as age and the year 2000 passed, Dimples moved away from her beloved city to gain the support of her youngest son and his wife in San Antonio. But never did her eyes, or heart, leave her home in Seguin.

Dimples died on April 18, 2018. Her last words to her son were "take me home". To where he had no doubt she intended.

She was preceded in death by her parents George C. and Mark Houston Burger; husband Lt. Col. John W. Webster; sons William Paul and Richard Weymen Webster. She is survived by her son James Houston Webster and wife Pattie Parker Webster, and her beloved grandchildren by Pattie grandson Michael Carle and his wonderful wife Carla; and Kasey Carle Crick and her amazing husband Tom Crick. Adding to her joy were great grand daughters Madison and Reagan Crick and Emma and Peyton Carle.
