Maria Christina Gutierrez was born on July 26, 1965, in San Benito, Texas, to Jacinto Gil Rodriguez and Angelina Cantu Rodriguez.
Maria was a loving, caring, and generous soul who never met a stranger. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome and loved. She enjoyed talking with others, making new friends, and simply sharing in their company. Her warm heart and genuine kindness touched the lives of so many people.
Maria was the true definition of giving without expecting anything in return. Even when she did not have much, she was always willing to give what she could to someone else—even if it meant going without herself. Her generosity was not just something she talked about; it was how she lived her life. That beautiful quality remained with her until her very last day.
Above all, Maria loved her children immensely. There was nothing she would not do for them, and being a mother was one of the greatest joys of her life. Her children were her heart, and the love she had for them was unconditional and everlasting.
Maria was also a loving daughter and a devoted sister. More than anything, she wanted peace within her family and wished for everyone to love one another. She treasured her family deeply and wanted nothing more than to see those she loved happy and together.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved father, Jacinto Gil Rodriguez, and her brother, Daniel C. Rodriguez.
Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her beloved mother, Angelina C. Rodriguez; her children, Noel Gutierrez, Jaime Gutierrez, and Ashely DeLeon; her beloved grandkids; Alexa Gutierrez, Cali Gutierrez, Eva Gutierrez, Josiah DeLeon, Houston Garcias and Juliet Ovalle; her brothers, Raul Rodriguez (Priscilda), Juan Rodriguez, Jacinto Rodriguez (David), and Raymond Rodriguez (Venisa); her sisters, Irma Sosa (Adam) and Hope Hernandez (Arnulfo); along with numerous nieces and nephews, with whom she shared a special and unique bond with each and every one of them. Maria had a way of making each person feel special, loved, and important, creating memories and connections that will be treasured forever.
Maria leaves behind a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, laughter, conversations, and unconditional love will be deeply missed. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her children, her mother, her family, and everyone whose life she touched.
Maria will forever be loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
