She married Robert Lee Lenz on May 10, 1953, at Friedens Church in Geronimo, TX. They were married for 53 years until his death in 2009. She lived her early life on the farm in Zorn, Texas, and moved to San Antonio where she raised 3 children, Kenneth, Stephen and Sandra with her husband Robert. She loved music, gardening, polka dancing, oil painting, arts and crafts, working with cattle, her dog Cody, and just being outdoors.  She also loved socializing, going to church and family reunions, shopping, traveling, and spending time with family. She was blessed with the ability to yodel and entertained the audience and students by yodeling at the Dietert School end of school plays in her youth. Her love of farm life was reflected in her showing of cattle at many shows of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, active involvement in the Future Farmers of America (FFA), and three consecutive titles as FFA Sweetheart.
