Juanita De La Cruz Garza, 88, of Kern County, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at home with her loving family in Bakersfield, CA.
We mourn the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Juanita De La Cruz Garza. She was an amazing mother to her son Gerardo and daughter-in-law Gricelda. She adored her grandsons, Sebastian, Christopher, Brandon (Melody) and granddaughters, Angelica Szabo (Kevin) and Andrea Garza. She was blessed with 9 great grandchildren.
Juanita was born in Seguin Texas on 6 May 1931 to Miguel and Prudencia De La Cruz. She grew up with her brothers Lorenzo, Antonio, Jesse, Gilbert and Domingo in Seguin Texas. They traveled to and from Michigan, California and Texas as migrant workers in the early 40s thru the 60s. She dedicated her life as a humble servant providing her love and support to her family and friends. Her passion was to nurture fragrant roses in her garden and be close to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is now the fragrant rose in the garden of our heavenly Father in paradise.
Juanita, may you Rest in Peace. We will all miss you reminding us how much you loved us with your words, patience and smile. May God’s hand bring peace and comfort to the De La Cruz Garza family as well as all who knew and loved this great woman.
