James “Jimmy” Gregory, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of strength, humor, and unwavering love. Born on October 31, 1956, to James F. Gregory and Marie Gregory in Sacramento, California. James lived a life centered around faith and family.
He shared his life with his beloved wife, Irma Gregory, and together they raised four daughters: Laura, Amy, Cecily, and Ariel—each of whom brought him tremendous pride and joy.
James was a hardworking man who gave his best each day to care for and support those he loved. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and cheered them on as he enjoyed watching the games. He was deeply rooted in his faith at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He brought joy to others with his sense of humor and lightheartedness, and even in difficult times, he held on to hope and a love for life.
James was also the founder and operator of Ariel’s Fun Time Bouncers, a beloved small business he ran with his wife. A familiar presence at community celebrations, the business became a staple in Seguin for countless birthday parties and family events. James took great pride and joy in creating lasting memories and bringing smiles to so many special occasions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. Gregory and Marie Gregory.
James is survived by his wife, Irma Gregory; his daughters and their families: Laura Rodriguez and her husband Mark, with sons Christian, Ayden, and Gavin; Amy Oeffinger and her husband EJ, with children Alyra and Dietrich; Cecily Dwyer and her husband William, with children Caylee, Caleb, and Quinn; and Ariel Rodriguez and her husband Angel. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda and Lora Gioeni, and Marsha Gomez, as well as numerous extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss his kindness, laughter, and love.
James will be remembered for his deep commitment to family, his quiet faith, and the way he made people feel cared for just by being himself.
