Henry Huebner

March 8, 1916 - September 28, 2017

Heinrich Ferdinand Wilhelm "Henry" Huebner passed away in Seguin on the 28th of September at the age of 101. He was the oldest of ten children born to Martha (Barthold) and Wilhelm Ferdinand "Willie" Huebner. He was the grandson of German immigrants, Julianna Mathilde (Tepper) and Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Huebner; and Augusta (Brettschneider) and Adalabert "Albert" Barthold.

He is survived by sons Franklin Huebner and wife Velma of Seguin, Robert Huebner and wife Faye of Kingsbury; daughters Carolyn Cason Ph. D. and husband Jerry of Arlington, Dorothy Bonkowski and husband Tony of Seguin; sisters Lillian Bauer of Floresville, and Olga "Baby" McGlothing of San Antonio; brother Alton "Sonny" Huebner and wife Yvonne of Fredericksburg; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Orion and Jan Knox, and Betty and James Reiley.

He was preceded in death by his wife Olga B. Huebner; his parents; his grandparents; his brothers Alfred and Hilmer; his sisters Leonie Kempin , Hulda Karnei, Irma Grobe, and infant Ella.

A Visitation will begin Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Goetz Funeral Home. A Church Service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2:00pm at Cross Church on 814 N Bauer St. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Cross Church in Seguin, Texas or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Goetz Funeral Home, Seguin, TX.
