Helen Grein

Helen Force Grein, age 93 of Seguin, passed away on December 29, 2017. Helen was born on July 10, 1924 in Seacombe, England to William Force and Jessie Unwin Force. She was the youngest member of a family consisting of 2 sisters and 1 brother. In 1946 during WWII, she met William Grein while he was stationed in England, and soon became engaged to be married. Once he returned home from the war, she made the journey from England to Seguin soon after. They were then married in Seguin on April 10, 1946, and were married for 51 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brother. Helen is survived by her daughter Linda Mary and spouse James Autry, grandson Cory Alan Autry. She is also survived by niece Helen Curnow, nephew William Mainwaring, and numerous relatives in England.
Visitation will begin from 5:00pm -9:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm Tuesday, January 9, 2017 at Goetz Funeral Home. A funeral procession will depart Goetz Funeral Home at 10:00am for a 10:30am Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Goetz Funeral Home.
