Gustav Person, Jr.

Gustav Adolph Person Jr., age 77, passed away January 21, 2018. He was born on September 27, 1940 in Mathis, Texas to Gustav Adolph and Frieda Person. He was an agricultural extension agent and rancher. The dearest things to his heart were the Lord, his family and friends, followed by all things agriculture and ranching. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marguerite, his parents, his brothers Walter and Hilmer, Walter's wife Bertie, and their sons John and Jesse, and his brother-in-Law Delroy Winsauer.

Gustav is survived by his sister Elizabeth Winsauer, his five children (& spouses), Barbara (Scott) McDowell, Gustav A. (Twanna) Person III, Paul (Tina) Person, James (Elisa) Person, Yvonne (Dan) Boman, fourteen grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held Thursday January 25 from 6-8 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin, Texas. Funeral will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday January 26 at Grace Lutheran Church in Seguin, Texas. Interment will follow at Kingsbury Cemetery.
