Enrique Rangel Sr. (Henry) peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the age of 71. He was born to Jose and Petra Rangel on October 14, 1950 in Seguin, Texas.
Henry is preceded in death by both of his parents; sisters, Mary Flores and Barbara Vela; brother Jaime “Joe” Rangel.
Left to cherish and honor his memory is his loving wife of 46 years, Elvira Rangel (Vera); sons, Enrique Rangel Jr (Juliana) and Joshua Jacob Rangel (Laura); grandchildren, Luke Rangel, Zoe Rangel, and Seraphina. He is further survived by his sisters, Terry Toms, Dalia Luna, Leticia Garcia; brother, Javier Rangel, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Henry was a devout Catholic man that loved the lord. He prayed the rosary daily and always kept those close to him in his prayers. Henry enjoyed spending time with family, friends and loved spending time with his grandchildren Seraphina, Luke and Zoe. The closest thing to his heart was sharing every moment with his loving wife Elvira. Henry was also a musician and played bass with his two sons in the band Fantacia, they recorded and played live which always put a smile on his face. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Henry had an ever lasting smile and was always so calm about life in general. Henry will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Goetz Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m.
