With heavy hearts, we announce that Clavelito Ricky Soto was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on January 24, 1978, in Seguin, Texas, Clavelito was a beloved son to his mother, Dalia Hernandez-Soto, and father, Benancio Ricky Soto.
Clavelito’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and loyalty. He was a devoted father, proud grandfather, caring brother, protective uncle, and a true friend to many. His presence brought light to every room, and his laughter was unforgettable. To know Clavelito was to know unconditional love, strength through adversity, and a heart full of compassion.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Dalia Hernandez-Soto and Benancio Ricky Soto, and his cherished grandparents: Maria Ramon Soto, Celestino Soto, Josefina Hernandez, and Basilio Loera. He is also reunited in eternal peace with other dear family members and friends who have gone before him.
Clavelito leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through his children: Destinee Nickole Soto, Christanio Xzavier Soto, Glorianna Marie Soto, and Angelito Rey Soto. He was a proud grandfather to Amelia Soto, with two more precious grandchildren on the way—Milena Esymae Cardenas and Deslynn Meilani Soto—who will grow up hearing stories of his love and laughter.
He is also survived by his brothers, Christopher Soto and Benancio Soto-Reyes; his nephew, Draven Rene Reyes; his niece, Evelyn Ylianna Soto; and countless extended family members and friends who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
Though our hearts ache with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Clavelito’s spirit lives on in every life he touched. His love, strength, and joy will never be forgotten
Honored to serve as pallbearers, walking beside Clavelito Soto one last time with love, respect, and deep gratitude are Alexander Ortiz, Joey Soto, Juan Medina, David Montonez, Steve Cisneros, Fred Buitron, Johnny Watson, Damien Deleon, and Deon Williams.
