Angela Jean Stoll, 100 years old of McQueeney, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016.She was born to John and Frances Hosek on December 19, 1915 on the family farm in Wilson County near Floresville, Texas. She had three brothers and five sisters. Reading was part of her life from an early age. Her dad would bring home the Sunday paper and she couldn't wait to read the comics, her favorite, to her younger brother. When she was 21 she moved to New Braunfels, TX to live went to work at New Braunfels Textile Mill, where she met Milton Schul. They were married October 9, 1937 and had one daughter Carol Jean. In her younger years she played golf, was on a bowling team and enjoyed going to dances. Jean later married A. J. Stoll on February 8, 1952 and had one son Arthur John. The family moved to McQueeney, Texas in 1958. There she lived with her loving husband until he passed away in 1997. Jean stayed active during her life. She was disciplined in her eating habits and health. She walked five days a week, enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her flowers. Although she was frugal, she enjoyed serving delicious meals and entertaining. She entered her favorite recipes in the food division at the Seguin Fair and was so proud of her many blue ribbons. She enjoyed talking to people and helped celebrate many birthday luncheons with her friends. One of her biggest enjoyments was being around her family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was a big fan of the San Antonio Spurs basketball team that she enjoyed watching play. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran church in Marion, TX. She was in a Bible Study Circle played dominos twice a month at the church, and enjoyed the bus tours Pastor Jim took the ladies on. After retiring from Dr. O. A. Stratemann, Orthodontist, as his assistant, she went to work at St. John's Lutheran Church Day Care. Two of her goals in life were fulfilled; she worked as a dental assistant and at age 72 she went back to school to get her G.E.D. In 2010 she moved to San Marcos, Texas to be closer to her daughter. As time passed she needed more care and moved to New Braunfels, TX, where she spent her last three years living at Sodalis Elder Living. We have been blessed with a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed. She is survived by her daughter Carol Jean and Husband Robert Kutscher of San Marcos, TX; son, John and wife Carolyn Stoll of Montgomery TX; four grandchildren, Daniel Kutscher of New Braunfels, TX, Belinda Martin of New Braunfels, TX, Karen Waters of Los Frescoes, TX ,and Roben Grant of San Marcos, TX, and their Families and Friends.
