Andrew “Andy” Rodriguez, 51, of Seguin, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on November 12, 1974, in San Marcos, Texas.
Andy was a hardworking, generous, and loving man. He was always fun to be around and cherished spending time with his family, sharing holidays together, enjoying good food, listening to music, and cheering on his favorite teams.
A devoted Texas A&M Aggies fan, Andy loved sports, especially football. He also had a special love for BBQ and potato salad, and he never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good meal with the people he loved. Andy also had a special place in his heart for dogs.
Family was at the heart of Andy’s life. He deeply loved his parents and took great pride in caring for them. He adored his great nieces, and great nephews, and the time he spent with them was especially meaningful to him. Andy also treasured his many loyal friendships and was genuinely grateful for the people who stood by him throughout his life.
Andy is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ben and Antonia Robles, and his paternal grandparents, Guadalupe and Bessie Rodriguez.
He is survived by his parents, Frank Rodriguez and Rose Robles; his brother, Frank Wayne (Alicia) Rodriguez; nephew, Wayne Matthew Rodriguez; nieces, Krystal (Kirk) Bass and Mariah (Cameron) Brooks; great nieces and nephews, Rya Mercado, Dante Sanchez, Draven Sanchez, Camiah Brooks, and Cameron Brooks Jr.
Though he is no longer with us, Andy’s love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be remembered, cherished, and missed always.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Goetz Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. Services will continue on Friday, August 28, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 10:00 a.m. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
