Alphonso Rincon

November 20, 1950 — June 2, 2019

Alphonso "Buelito" Rincon was born on November 20, 1950 to Maria and Crispin Rincon in Seguin, Texas. He passed away Sunday June 2nd at home on his farm, Casablanca, on the same land he learned to cultivate crops, raise cattle, and started a family. Alphonso had a voracious appetite for knowledge and was an avid reader. His inquisitiveness was well known and resulted in an unending amount of questions to anyone he deemed interesting, which was almost anyone and everyone who crossed his path. Alphonso was a dreamer, always making grand plans, some he accomplished, some he did not, but he never thought that any of them were unattainable...he just had not quite gotten to them.

Alphonso was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Crispin Rincon, sister Dahlia Tristan, and brother Jacinto Rincon. He is survived by his children, Jose Alberto "Turbo"Rincon, Veronica Cenaida "Nida" Rincon- Gonzales (Frank), Miguel Angel Rincon (Samantha), first wife and mother of his children Esther Boehm (Steve), his four grandchildren whom he loved and took tremendous pride in, Aydan, Neva, Sofia, Gabriel, sister-in-law Cecilia Rincon, brother-in-law Fred Tristan, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his loving friends and family Alphonso leaves behind a legacy dedicated to facilitating strong relationships in both families and the greater community through his lifetime of work and activism with his company Fathers Active in Communities and Education (F.A.C.E.), the Casablanca Review, Teatro de Artes de Juan Seguin, and most recently with LULING ISD.

In honor of a recent conversation with Beto, following services at Goetz Funeral Home on Thursday June 6th, Alphonso will be laid to rest in a private ceremony among the mesquite trees on Casablanca Farm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alphonso's memory may be directed to Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin 921 W. New Braunfels St. Seguin, Texas 78155. Arrangements under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home 713 N. Austin St. in Seguin.
